Diversity of presentations
Diversity in gender, career stage and nationalities is promoted when selecting presenters. See more on ESEB Equal opportunities committee. 52% of invited speakers and 47% of symposium organisers are female, and ECR and mid-career scientists make up 84% of symposium organisers and 60% of invited speakers. 28 nationalities are represented amongst the symposium organisers and 19 amongst the invited speakers.
Conference Attendance Aid Grants
ESEB promotes diversity in the conference by providing Conference Attendance Aid grants. Deadline for applying is 15th April 2019. Apply here.
Accessibility
- All scientific sessions, coffees and lunch are located in one building (Logomo), which is accessible and has an induction loop. See more info here. Turku hosts a large number of accessible taxis (e.g. Turku Taxi Center +35820044444, Turun Taksiasema +358400993311). Conference attendance aid can be applied by people with extra costs of travel.
